Supervise and lead the instrumentation team in performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant instrumentation and control systems.
Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance tasks related to field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature sensors), analyzers (pH, ORP, DO), actuated valves, and control panels.
Ensure all instrumentation is calibrated, tested, and maintained in accordance with OEM specifications and plant standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, SCADA systems, and process automation devices.
Review maintenance reports, calibration logs, loop diagrams, and system schematics.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures during maintenance activities.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and operations teams for integrated plant maintenance.
Assist in installation, commissioning, and upgrading of instrumentation systems and automation projects.
Identify spare part requirements, manage inventory, and initiate procurement of essential tools and components.
Train and mentor junior technicians and foremen in instrumentation best practices.
Report maintenance performance, issues, and improvement recommendations to the Maintenance Manager or Instrumentation Engineer.
Education : Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
Experience : Minimum 6–10 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in sewage or water treatment plants.
Technical Skills : In-depth knowledge of field instrumentation and process control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA / DCS systems, and industrial automation. Skilled in calibration, signal testing, and diagnostics of instruments.
