We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Support Equipment Specialist to ensure all equipment requirements are met for completion operations and well intervention activities. This role is critical in managing high-value stock, coordinating warehouse operations, performing QA / QC, and supporting complex well delivery and intervention workflows.
Department : Drilling & Well / Completion & Well Intervention
Reports to : Lead Well Completion and Workover Engineering
Location : Logistics bases and warehouses (primarily Ras Laffan), with occasional travel to third-party facilities, piers, contractors, and suppliers
Qualifications & Experience
- Education : Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Technology (or equivalent).
- Experience : Prior work in oilfield operations, including time offshore.
- Technical Expertise :
Strong knowledge of completion and well intervention equipment, particularly slickline.
Experience with equipment request and mobilization processes.Solid understanding of QA / QC workflows.Proficiency with SAP.Languages : Fluent English requiredCertifications : IWCF Level 2.Key Accountabilities
Uphold all HSE standards and apply company Golden Rules.Ensure incident‑free operations and compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and CMS.Manage a high‑volume inventory of over 2,500 drilling and well items with a cumulative stock value exceeding USD 118M.Support operations involving complex intelligent completions :16 subassembly types per well
Approximately 8 wells per year per rig4–5 rigs in activity annually~350 active wells requiring well intervention supportCoordinate indirectly with 5–10 warehouse personnel.Main Responsibilities
Warehouse & Logistics Coordination
Lead and prioritize well intervention warehouse activities in alignment with drilling sequences.Track all major well intervention equipment and ensure accurate location records at all times.Prepare, inspect, and coordinate equipment for load‑out and return.QA / QC & Equipment Integrity
Conduct acceptance checks on all incoming equipment.Perform and supervise QA / QC for completion subassemblies, including functional testing of components such as SCSSSVs, HCMs, and ball valves.Verify assembly sheets, dimensions, threads, and ensure products meet specification and functionality requirements.Maintain calibration, certification, and servicing schedules for all service equipment.Develop and maintain certification and testing programs (MPI, thread inspection, pressure testing, etc.).Operational Support
Issue and manage associated work orders and service orders.Complete SAP workflows related to equipment movements.Conduct vendor visits, spot checks, and pre-load inspections.Maintain and improve the “Action List Well Intervention – Offshore” and coordinate job priorities with offshore supervisors.Manage repair, replacement, and retrieval of missing equipment from offshore sites.Coach and support Well Intervention Supervisors when required.Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion
