Construction Lead (Piping)

Purpose

 Lead and manage Compression EPC Contractor for safe and successful execution of CP Topsides piping fabrication scopes to meet overall project objectives by insuring HSE, Quality, planning, effective and efficient delivery of Project.

 In addition ensure the constructability of the design is consistent with established Project Engineering Drawings and industry processes and standards, effectively manage issues and resolution through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams delivering full alignment of the Fabrication execution.

Accountabilities

• Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process.
• Manages and ensures successful execution of CP Topsides piping fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).
• To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor / Subcontractors related to the piping fabrication, Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
• To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.
• To review deviations to construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precomm / comm dossiers, as built …) for the construction activities.
• Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
• Review Contractor’s progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.
• To Liaise with Contractors / Subcontractors for all structure subject, MC, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors / Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.
• To Participate to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.
• To participate to REX and Lessons Learned for the Company.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering

Knowledge and / or Experience

 8 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service / vendor personnel. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.

 Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management and techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
