In a pioneering international initiative, Cornell University and Weill Cornell Medical College established Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar (WCM-Q) in 2001 through a unique partnership with the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. WCM-Q seeks candidates for a postdoctoral associate position in Mathematical Modeling of Communicable and Non‑communicable Diseases.
The Infectious Disease Epidemiology Group (IDEG) at WCM-Q invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the area of mathematical modelling of the epidemiological dynamics of communicable and non‑communicable diseases. The position is full‑time and is available for several years subject to satisfactory progress. The position is available immediately.
IDEG is a globally recognized research group specializing in quantitative methods for the study of communicable and non‑communicable diseases. It stands at the forefront of international epidemiological research. IDEG’s work has been published in leading scientific journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, Science, The Lancet journals, JAMA, and Nature Medicine, among others. Many of its studies have made major contributions to understanding disease epidemiology and evaluating the impact of public health interventions. IDEG’s research has played a central role in shaping public health policy at national, regional, and global levels. Its findings have received widespread media coverage across national and international outlets through numerous articles and news features.
