Job Overview :

The Electrician (P&M) will be responsible for performing electrical installation, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks for plant and machinery (P&M) within the shipyard and industrial facilities. The role requires technical expertise in handling electrical systems, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining operational safety and efficiency.

Job Role & Responsibilities :

• Carry out electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant and machinery equipment.
• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, and fixtures.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operation of machinery.
• Diagnose faults and replace faulty electrical components in motors, panels, and circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with supervisors to plan maintenance schedules.
• Maintain maintenance records and daily reports accurately.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at all times.
• Support electrical installation and commissioning work as required.
