Overview This position is physically located in Qatar. The Transportation Coordinator must be capable of monitoring, but not limited to, the following movement control functions : Customer Service; Convoy Briefings; Staging Area Management; Hazardous Materiel (HAZMAT) Documentation Certification; Movement Control Reports; RFID Management; Document Cargo; Container Management; and Safety Briefings. The candidate must be familiar with Hazardous Materiel (HAZMAT), Integrated Booking System Container Management Module (IBS-CMM), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS). Responsibilities Monitor all transportation movements. Assist in sourcing new modes of transportation and carriers. Analyze freight performance costs for carriers. Monitor scheduled movements. Coordinate security and link up teams and Movement Control Teams (MCTs) for required moves. Input convoy movement data into ledger, close convoy entries, and track convoys on the Movement Tracking System (MTS). Retrieve convoy reports from MCTs via NIPR computers. Contact MCTs when reports are not received on time. Assist in creating circulation overlays. Maintain historical data on all movements. Perform movement control operations. Be acquainted with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations, such as Forklifts (4K, 6K, 10K, 12K, 14K, and 100K container handlers). Knowledge of ocean freight shipment processes through designated SPOE / D. Lead cargo truck convoys and oversee mission coordination, equipment safety, and accountability. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the transportation field. Education / Certifications : High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education. Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License. Must be CAC eligible and / or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must have a valid US Passport. Must be a US citizen. Skills include attention to detail, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, knowledge of MHE operations, and high organizational skills. Working Conditions Capable of working in extreme weather conditions exceeding 120°F. Indoor and outdoor environments with harsh conditions, including desert environments with temperatures from 30°F to 130°F. Physical Requirements Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly. May require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, and prolonged standing or sitting. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in some situations.
