Parsons is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Materials Inspector
to join our team in Qatar. In this role, you will support site supervision efforts by conducting inspections of ongoing construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of workmanship and reporting any issues to the supervisory team. What You'll Be Doing
Conducting routine site inspections to verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Monitoring daily site progress and reporting deviations from planned works to the Senior Works Inspector or Resident Engineer. Ensuring that construction materials and workmanship meet specified requirements. Reviewing and verifying material deliveries and storage for compliance with project standards. Coordinating with contractors and site personnel to ensure timely completion of activities and address any technical or quality-related issues. Preparing and maintaining inspection records, daily reports, and other documentation required by the project. Reporting safety violations or hazardous conditions and ensuring prompt resolution in coordination with the HSE team. Supporting the resolution of non-conformances and assisting with follow-up inspections after corrective actions. Participating in site meetings and inspections with consultants, contractors, and client representatives as required. Required Skills
Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized institution (subject to approval by the Engineer). 10 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or supervision, ideally on infrastructure or civil projects with at least 5 years in a consultancy environment. Good understanding of construction methods, technical drawings, and material specifications. Familiarity with local and international standards and codes related to construction and quality assurance. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team on-site. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting tools. Effective written and spoken English communication skills. Desired Skills
Prior experience on large-scale infrastructure or public works projects (e.g., roads, utilities, drainage systems). Knowledge of QA / QC procedures and HSE regulations in the construction industry. Experience working in the Gulf region is preferred. Arabic language skills are an advantage. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism on site.
