Junior HSEQ Engineer (For Qatari Nationals only)

TotalEnergies’ Al Khalij field is a mature field with a complex integration of multiple producing fields. The focus is on safe operations, environmental respect, operational efficiency, and maximizing production potential to sustain output. The goal is to deliver balanced performance across safety, environment, production, and cost.

The position is based in Doha, at the TotalEnergies EP Qatar subsidiary’s office in Msheireb Downtown.

The role requires strong communication and coordination skills, accuracy, adherence to standards, and self-motivation.

The incumbent must maintain effective communication with Engineering, Construction & Project, Field Operations, Logistics, Drilling & Wells teams, and may visit offshore installations and Halul Island.

Responsibilities :

Within the HSEQ & Security department, under supervision of the Integrity & Major Risk Manager and VP HSEQ & Security, the Junior HSEQ Engineer will support :

Process Safety / Safety Engineering :

• Providing safety engineering support for projects, modifications, and studies, collaborating with engineering, construction, project, and field operations teams to ensure optimal design and solutions.
• Updating Technological Risk Assessments and interacting with contractors on such studies.
• Supporting Major Risk and Process Safety communication and awareness initiatives.
• Creating Bow-ties for Major Risk scenarios highlighting safety barriers.
• Reviewing P&IDs, Safety Engineering layouts, and utilizing the PRODOM database for documentation review.
• Assisting in derogation preparations and safety documentation.
• Understanding safety engineering standards and referentials.
• Managing GHG emissions accounting, reporting, and verification for operated and non-operated assets, liaising with relevant teams for accurate data and updates.

HSE :

Education : BSc in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.

Experience : Fresh Qatari graduate.

Technical skills : Process Safety, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, Risk Assessment, HSE systems.

Behavioral skills : Quick learner, good communicator, self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and culturally aware.

Other skills : Excellent English, French is a plus, team-oriented, ethical, and valuing diversity.
