Job Purpose / Role
Oversees team of inventory or warehouse employees.
Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries shipments and stock levels.
Evaluates deliveries shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
Manages schedules of employees deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Reports on inventory levels supply chain progress procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives and maintain its records so that it can be reviewed and accessed by Operations Manager and also provide the reports related to cycle count activities.
- Prepare for and perform with the help of operations a quarterly full stock count (wall to wall) and maintain a goal of 98-100% accuracy.
- Investigate, identify and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies i.e. shortages as well as excesses.
- Audit all operations processes along with paper flow errors and spot the inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of the inventories.
- Work alongside operation supervisor in creating new item codes and do full stock cataloging.
- Assist operations in performing warehouse slotting and prepare and enforce replenishment activities.
- Do random audits on operations documentation to insure tractability of operations.
- (Optional) Supervise and coordinate the appropriate processing of various purchase requisitions, receiving reports, purchase orders, inventory requisitions, etc.
- (Optional) Maintain optimum levels of inventory and trigger procurement department for merchandise replenishment.
- Inspect and give the order for waste disposal.
- Reconcile physical and system stock levels.
- Ensure PDT is used for receiving returns and dispatches.
- Audit and report goods are dispatched as per FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) standard.
- Spot check for right SKU, right slot, right quantity, right expiry.
- Report any types of cases that need to be flagged.
- Coach and mentor all team members especially direct reports for performance and work closely with them during the various stages of the performance cycle (goal setting performance evaluations etc.).
- Perform all other duties as delegated by the Department Head or as per business requirement.
- Daily cycle count leads and documents closure.
- Ensure a safe and secure workplace for his / her subordinates through embodying promoting and enforcing the health safety and environmental (HSE) policies & procedures.
- Ensure implementation of various Management Systems (Food Safety Quality Health and Safety & Environment) to achieve best practice in the function he / she is responsible for.
- Ensure involvement of relevant workforce in all occupational health and safety risk assessments and ensure its mitigations are implemented.
Qualifications, Certifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree on related fields.At least 5 years in warehouse or distribution (preferably in the GCC).Job Specific Skills
