Senior Technical Engineer

Job Summary The Senior Technical Engineer performs design management of various types of projects residential commercial warehouse industrial buildings Reviews the structural design of projects Initiates value engineering exercises and identifies potential issues constraints in design and construction during the early stages of design Checks appropriateness of structural system and correctness of design criteria proposed by consultants Provides direction to consultants to ensure complete submission of structural deliverables within project schedule Performs the task of managing the documentation of the structural drawings in coordination with architectural and Works Job Responsibilities 1 Analyze and configure the basic structural components of a building or other structure for ensuring the quality ofdesign Review the design criteria basic structural components geotechnical properties wind loads seismic loads loads fireprotection and ensure adequacy of design Analyze the structural elements to ensure the quality of the design Analyze and reviews the loading plan and ensure compliance with codes and the project operational purpose Determine the pressures that each component such as a beam or lintel will experience from other parts of the structuredue to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes Study the impact of the temporary works formwork tower cranes foundations and supports on the structural elements provide calculations details and ensure compliance Liaise with designers including architects to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of theconstruction of the proposed project Provide safe structural solutions to suite the architectural and requirements
