Clinical Ethics Specialist

Job Description

The  Clinical Ethics Specialist will focus on addressing ethical dilemmas, promoting ethical decision-making, and fostering a culture of integrity and patient-centered care across primary healthcare settings. This role will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that ethical principles are integrated into clinical practice, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide timely and confidential ethics consultations to healthcare providers, staff, and patients / families facing ethical dilemmas.
• Facilitate discussions and mediate conflicts related to patient care, resource allocation, and professional conduct.
• Provide timely and confidential ethics consultations to healthcare providers, staff, and patients / families facing ethical dilemmas.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop, review and update ethical policies, guidelines and procedures in alignment with PHCC’s mission and values.
• Ensure compliance with national and international ethics standards and regulations.
• Design and deliver ethics training Programs for health care providers and staff to enhance their understanding of ethical principles and decision-making frameworks.
• Facilitate ethics committee meetings and ensure follow up on recommendations.
• Prepare reports on ethics-related activities and outcomes for PHCC leadership.
