Job Description
Your daily work consists of accepting and editing purchase requests, corresponding with suppliers for quotations, preparing purchase orders, and performing buying duties.
Maintain records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries, using these records to compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates so the company can save money by choosing the supplier that provides the greatest value.
Verify the accuracy of purchase orders to increase value.
Proactively contact colleagues and suppliers to keep them aware of order status, especially when problems arise.
Assist departments in raising purchase requests on FMC systems where applicable.
Follow up regularly with the finance department for vendor payments and thoroughly check advance payments made to ensure timely deliveries and documentation.
Maintain a good relationship with all suppliers.
Be well aware of HACCP compliance to ensure food and beverage safety, and maintain appropriate records for authorities as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality and 2–3 years experience in a 4–5 star hotel.
