About the location

From the elegant lobby to energetic restaurants and lounges, our beachfront urban retreat has been transformed into a vibrant hotspot, while remaining true to our Qatari roots. This stunning urban beachfront retreat opened in April 2005 in the heart of the business district, and has 237 rooms and 20 unbranded townhouses villas, a large Food and Beverage operation with 10 venues including the world’s largest Nobu restaurant, significant banquets / outside catering, five pools and a private beach, fitness center, and a spa and wellness center offering guests expansive hydrotherapy facilities including an ice room, colour therapy room, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. The hotel completed a beautiful renovation in 2019 and re-opened in March 2020.

Job Description

The Bartender is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Bartender position provides support to the Beverage Manager. A bright & passionate bartender who always strives to provide Four Seasons experience to our guests. We believe we have the perfect opportunity for a rising star who feels ready to take on the next role by joining an incredible team of professionals in Doha.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Four Seasons Standards.
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
• Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Ensure stock rotation in the bar is managed on a FIFO basis. Maintain bar counters, fridges and equipment; keep service areas clean.
• Close guest checks accurately; process cash and credit card payments; settle voided checks or complimentary items.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Employee handbook.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Maintain bars, wine cellar and dispense stores upkeep.
• Be part of the monthly stock take.
• Ensure beverage movement is controlled and consumption is charged.
• Serve food items in the bar area.
• Cut fruit and prepare beverage garnishments.
