ob Summary As an autonomous practitioner and key multidisciplinary team member the physiotherapist will provide holistic assessment and goal orientated treatment through a patient centered model of care Utilizing a broad range of physiotherapeutic techniques to effectively promote health and wellbeing and maximize functional recovery using both a restorative and preventative approach to patient care To provide high quality Physiotherapy services across the following key Rehabilitation areas Orthopedics and RheumatologyCardiac RehabilitationMusculoskeletal and Sports MedicinePain ManagementWomen s HealthNeurology and NeurosurgeryPediatrics Job Responsibilities 1 Provides critically reasoned and holistic physiotherapeutic assessments for inpatients and outpatients referred with varying complexities of musculoskeletal orthopaedic neurological or cardiorespiratory presentations encompassing physical psychological emotional and social aspects Provides goal orientated evidencebased and clinically reasoned treatment plans alone and in conjunction with an integrated team of physicians nurses and other Allied Health Professionals Provides effective and safe patient and family education to assist in the management of and or recovery from injury illness or disease Takes an active role within InService training facilitating the training and development of nontherapy staff and sharing knowledge and skills where appropriate Manages own time and caseload with an awareness of limitation of the therapy service and a knowledge of specialist facilities and appropriate referral Job Responsibilities 2 Demonstrates therapeutic moving and handling skills in the assessment and treatment of clients and gives specialist advice to staff clients carers and family on the correct manual handling techniques undertaking highly specialized manual handling risk assessments as appropriate Adheres to all departmental and facility wide policies procedures risk assessments and processes in the interests of maintaining a safe and effective work environment and promoting the highest quality patient care experience Practises clear concise and timely documentation of clinical records including but not limited to initial assessment reevaluation treatment sessions discharge planning referral letters and reports using a variety of digital applications and IT systems Takes responsibility of care and day to day maintenance of equipment and working environment Maintains appropriate infection control practices and training to maintain the safety of patients and colleagues Undertakes clinical and nonclinical audit tasks as assigned aimed at informing the facility leadership on performance in critical areas as deemed necessary Maintains and develops own knowledge and skills through further learning activities related to the role of physiotherapy within the Hospital Functions always in accordance with the national laws and regulations legislative regulatory and policy guidelines relevant to the scope of Physiotherapy practice in the State of Qatar
