Corrosion Specialist - Offshore

Job Purpose

Advise and support Corrosion Engineering related activities (Coating, Corrosion Protection Systems, Corrosion Inhibition Systems, etc.) for all project facilities during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset whilst ensuring project deliverables meet Operations expectations in term of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

• Reviews material, design and monitoring requirements of new projects in the area of Corrosion Engineering such as Coating, Cathodic Protection & Corrosion Inhibitions and submits recommendations.
• Define and conducts corrosion monitoring and prevention activities, and if necessary corrosion investigation. Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks (under area of responsibility) which could impact new project Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security.
• Participates in Chemical selection and review the test reports for corrosion prevention in pipelines and process plants.
• Define and ensure coating condition surveys are performed and review priority notifications for inspection evaluation.
• Ensure quality implementations of project painting / coating requirements for pipelines, structures, equipment and tanks, and gives recommendations about selection of systems and procedures for proper quality control. Verify and ensure paint quality inspection performed by inspectors
