We are looking for a skilled and passionate Commis Bakery to assist in the preparation and production of a wide range of baked goods for our fine dining establishment. As part of our bakery team, you will contribute to creating exceptional pastries, bread, and desserts, ensuring each product meets the high standards of quality, taste, and presentation that our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities :
Preparation and Baking :
Assist in preparing and baking a variety of artisanal bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products.
Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in all bakery items.
Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and pastry stations in compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
Quality Control :
Monitor and ensure that all products are baked to perfection, maintaining consistency in texture, appearance, and flavor.
Ensure that all bakery items are stored properly and kept at the correct temperature.
Maintain a clean and organized bakery area, following food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
Collaboration :
Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef, Sous Chefs, and other kitchen staff to meet the restaurant's needs.
Assist with the production of specialty items and seasonal offerings as directed.
Help with the preparation of garnishes, decorations, and plating of desserts.
Inventory and Stock Management :
Assist in inventory management and monitor the stock of ingredients to ensure there are no shortages.
Communicate with the kitchen team regarding ingredient needs and any shortages or issues.
Learning and Development :
Take direction from senior team members and actively participate in learning new skills, techniques, and recipes.
Keep up with industry trends and contribute innovative ideas for new baked goods and desserts.
