The primary function of the Medical Logistics (Warehouse) Specialist is to provide support for the program through materials and logistics movement coordination training, material status tracking, and overall supply support. Responsibilities
Manage the inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and devices, including stock level tracking, routine audits, and restocking as needed. Provide logistics management related to pharmaceuticals, cold-chain supplies, expendables, consumables, durable medical equipment, medical gases, nonmedical supplies, and furniture. Operate enterprise-level logistics management systems to optimize inventory, monitor life cycle, forecast demand, and track inventory across all supply chain stages, minimizing risk to the USG and vendor. Procure tailored devices (e.g., prescription eyeglasses, special shoes, hearing aids) as required for individual guests; durable medical equipment provided by IOM as part of programming. Collaborate with medical logistics warehouse personnel to perform receipt, storage, issue, and physical inventory accountability tasks. Perform stock control and inventory management through the database system; manage medical supply chain functions, including cold chain management and calibration coordination for biomedical equipment. Provide Med Log information and reports to the Program Manager. Assist contracted entity MSI with operation, maintenance, required calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment per OEM recommendations. Develop redundant solutions with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of services when equipment is unavailable; includes biomedical equipment used in clinical buildings and other locations (e.g., AEDs). Receive and ship all incoming and outgoing medical supplies, equipment, and devices; ensure proper labeling, packaging, and delivery to appropriate departments or personnel. Maintain accurate inventory records, track expiration dates and lot numbers, and ensure regulatory compliance; monitor regulatory changes and update policies as needed. Communicate effectively with other departments and medical personnel to ensure availability of supplies and equipment for patient care. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all communications and foster an inclusive, respectful work environment. Coordinate daily with requestors, cataloging, purchasing, and supply chain management groups; assist in development and implementation of supply chain functions. Maintain oxygen and medical-grade air supplies, including returning empty cylinders; keep warehouse and hospital supply room WHS notices up to date. Oversee cleaning of the warehouse and hospital supply rooms. Participate in mass casualty drills twice a year and remain available for on-call coverage. Complete required organizational compliance education for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Experience Required :
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute multiple priorities. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and disciplines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Excellent data entry skills. Strong knowledge of logistics and supply principles and supply chain management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong team-building abilities. Experience on a military site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. Two (2) years of experience in supply chain / logistics / warehousing. Education Required :
High school degree or equivalent; associate degree in a related field such as business management or logistics management preferred. Physical Requirements :
Work is performed in an indoor / outdoor environment with exposure to heat, humidity, sun, rain, and wind. Prolonged sitting and standing; may require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to safely negotiate stairs. Other Special Qualifications :
Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively. This position is unaccompanied. Ability to obtain a base security clearance is required. Must be able to relocate to Qatar. A valid passport is required and must be in possession prior to relocation; passport must be maintained during stay. Additional Information
