Fire Alarm Technician Oil and Gas

The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation testing commissioning troubleshooting and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems within Oil Gas facilities The role ensures all systems operate effectively and comply with applicable safety standards project specifications and international fire protection codes Key Responsibilities Installation Maintenance Install inspect and maintain fire alarm systems including control panels detectors manual call points sounders and interfaces Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems Testing Commissioning Test all components to ensure functionality proper signal flow and integration with other safety systems e g firefighting systems HVAC BMS access control Troubleshooting Repairs Diagnose faults perform repairs and ensure minimal system downtime Replace defective components and recalibrate sensors as needed Ensure proper documentation of all service and maintenance activities Qualifications Experience Education Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation Fire Safety or related field Experience Minimum 3 years of handson experience in installation maintenance and troubleshooting of Fire Alarm Systems preferably in Oil Gas or industrial environments
