Education & Certification :
- Bachelors degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering (minimum).
- Certificate of Competency from an authorized body for inspection and repair of equipment in hazardous areas.
- COMPEx Certification (EX01EX04 preferred).
- OEM / Vendor certification for TAIT, Motorola, Hytera, AXELL, and RadioLinx systems (preferred).
Experience :
56 years (degree holders) / 34 years (diploma holders) of experience in telecommunication system maintenance within the oil & gas industry.Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of telecommunication systems, including :Radio Systems (UHF, TETRA, VHF, HF, Point-to-Point).
TAIT, Motorola, Hytera intrinsically safe radios (desktop, handheld, vehicle-mounted, and BA set-integrated).
UHF TMR Radio System including maintenance and support of 1800 IS-certified handheld radios.
Indoor radio repeaters (AXELL Wireless / Cobham).
UHF radio base station repeater systems.
TETRA systems.
VHF Aeronautical / Air Band radios.
Industrial frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio links with AES encryption (RadioLinx ProSoft).
Carry out maintenance, repair, and testing of PAGA systems (speakers, beacon loops, cables), field telephones, and other hazardous area telecom systems.Support IP telephony systems (preferably Cisco), Unified Voice Collaboration systems, IPTV systems, and AV systems in offices, meeting rooms, and conference rooms.Provide technical support, monitoring, and system backups / recovery for PC-based telecom systems, including reinstallation of OS and system restoration.Manage SAP maintenance requests and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.Perform system fault analysis, troubleshooting, and rectification, including buried cable fault location identification.Liaise with OEMs / Vendors for support and ensure compliance with their technical recommendations.Support safe work practices in line with oil & gas industry HSE requirements.Interested applicants may send their CVs to jesica@mekdamholding.com
