Overview
Position to supervise the employment and management of a full-time Drainage Networks Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contract Performance Area support team to work alongside the CLIENT to deliver the Scope of Services. Review and improve Drainage Networks O&M processes and procedures to meet the needs of Drainage Networks users. Provide support to AA Management in the administration of Works Contracts to ensure full Drainage Networks Management services are delivered on behalf of the CLIENT. Review incident response plans and support for unplanned incidents on all CLIENT Drainage Networks. Review cross-organizational protocols with Emergency Services to ensure plans exist for emergency response to incidents on the Drainage networks. Assess existing procedures and strategies in the Drainage Networks O&M department, identify improvements, and supervise implementation upon approval. Contribute to service level improvements, standards, procurement needs, and knowledge transfer throughout the contract duration.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the employment and management of a full-time Drainage Networks O&M Contract Performance Area support team personnel to work with CLIENT to deliver the Scope of Services.
- Review existing Drainage Networks O&M processes and procedures to determine their ability to provide services that meet the needs of Drainage Networks users.
- Provide support to AA Management in the administration of the Works Contracts to ensure full Drainage Networks Management services are provided on behalf of the CLIENT.
- Review the existing Incident Response Plans and support in place for response to unplanned incidents on all CLIENT Drainage Networks.
- Review cross-organizational protocols with the Emergency Services to ensure plans exist for Emergency response to incidents on the Drainage networks.
- Assess existing procedures and strategies in the Drainage Networks O&M department, identify areas for improvements, and supervise the implementation and delivery of these improvements upon approval by AA Management.
- Identify and recommend AA Management pathways to improve the levels of Service.
- Review and evaluate the existing Drainage Networks O&M working standards and identify areas for improvement and / or change; identify any areas requiring procurement and / or management of outsourced work contracts.
- Review the recruitment plan which places CLIENT at the forefront of sought-after employees.
- Contribute to implementing a comprehensive knowledge transfer process to guarantee structured learning and development of CLIENT personnel throughout the contract duration.
- Supervise knowledge transfer assessments through appraisals and implement succession planning to retain core knowledge, skills, and expertise.
- Review essential supply chains to ensure they function optimally in support of CLIENT’s assets and networks.
- Contribute to the development of strategies to support Qatarisation initiatives and organizational development activities.
- Review and support the development and contribution of National Development Strategies and related CLIENT strategies on behalf of AA.
- Review and support the development of QMS for CLIENT.
Qualifications
Minimum of 25 years of experience in a relevant industry, with at least 15 years in a leading role, preferably within roads or drainage sectors.Qualified professional at Senior Management level, capable of planning, leadership, direction, and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multi-discipline projects.Regional and international experience required; minimum of 8 years in North America, Western Europe, Australia, or equivalent.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline is a minimum requirement; postgraduate or doctoral degree preferred.Required relevant Chartered status and Professional License(s).Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.Knowledge of current trends and technologies in the public sector, particularly in asset management and operations.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and other daily business tools.Experience in development and implementation of QMS.Arabic language skills preferred but not essential.About Stantec
