Role Description

Involved in the design of Building Services for a wide range of structures, including high-rise buildings, residential compounds, commercial complexes, towers, hotels, and mosques.

Responsible for the design and production of electrical, telecommunications, lighting, and power distribution systems.

Performs essential engineering calculations such as short-circuit analysis, load flow calculations, containment sizing, busbar and cable sizing, and voltage-drop assessments.

Designs Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems including CCTV and security systems, public address and sound systems, fire alarm systems, SMATV / IPTV, lightning protection and earthing systems, lighting and dimming control systems, home automation, and guest room management systems.

Capable of multitasking across design, drafting, and leadership responsibilities, including supervising engineers and draughtsmen.

Fully familiar with major international electrical and telecommunications standards such as IEC, NEC, BS-EN, CIBSE, NFPA, and GCC regulations, particularly Qatar electrical requirements.

Prepares technical reports, design schemes, bills of quantities, cost estimates, electrical drawings, tender documents, and computer-based calculations and equipment selection.
