Job descriptionEnsure designs comply with project requirements, codes, standards, and best practices. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams. Project Supervision & Coordination Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants for smooth project execution. Monitor project progress, ensure timely completion, and adherence to schedules. Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with MME / UPDA regulations and local codes. Implement corrective actions for any deviations or non-conformities. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of design changes, approvals, and inspections. Support project management with technical input for decision-making. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures. Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Licenses & Certifications : MME / UPDA License (Mandatory). Experience : Minimum of 5 years in a similar senior mechanical engineering role. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems. Ability to review technical drawings and ensure design compliance. Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and coordination abilities. Ability to lead teams and work independently. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Combination of office and site-based work. Exposure to construction and mechanical system installation environments. May require extended working hours based on project schedules.

Reports To : Project Manager / Mechanical Engineering Manager
Job Purpose
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee mechanical engineering activities for projects, ensuring design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The role requires technical expertise, project coordination, and the ability to lead junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Technical Oversight
Review and approve mechanical engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Supervise mechanical construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
Conduct site inspections to ensure mechanical works meet design, quality, and safety standards.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
Promote and ensure adherence to HSE standards in all mechanical activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other mechanical engineering software.
