Electrical Technician

Overview

Perform maintenance and modifications on electrical equipment, including transformers, switchboards, motors, and control systems, while troubleshooting complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring safety compliance and conducting inspections and testing.
• Lead electrical design for low voltage switchgear projects, ensuring compliance with standards, utilizing simulation software, and providing technical expertise.
• Analyze schematic drawings, configure protection schemes, test relays, and integrate with SCADA systems.
• Monitor cable consumption, prepare MTO, coordinate subcontractors, and support project execution in offshore fabrication with a focus on electrical and instrumentation engineering.
• Conduct daily reviews of defect cards, plan shutdown jobs, and allocate manpower for maintenance, ensuring efficient operations and resource utilization.
• Manage electrical projects, ensuring compliance with standards, budget, and timelines while coordinating with stakeholders and leading a construction team.
• Diagnose, repair, and service power tools, and diagnose and repair vehicle electrical faults with appropriate safety standards and certifications.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, analyze materials and quotations, and liaise with suppliers while ensuring compliance with tender documentation.
• Coordinate with operations teams, inspectors, and control rooms to ensure continuous electrical system performance and safety.
