Events Coordinator

Qatar Scientific Club, established in 1987, is a non-profit institution dedicated to inspiring youth and the community through science, technology, and innovation. We provide a creative environment that empowers talents to learn, invent, and contribute to the advancement of the Qatari community.

We are seeking an organized and energetic Events Coordinator to plan, organize, and execute Qatar Scientific Club’s activities and events. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities in Arabic and English, and a passion for delivering high-quality scientific, educational, and community events.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage events, workshops, exhibitions, and competitions hosted by Qatar Scientific Club.

Handle event logistics including venue setup, equipment, catering, transportation, and technical requirements.

Manage event registration processes, communication with participants, and on-site operations.

Liaise with vendors, partners, and sponsors to ensure smooth event execution.

Collaborate with internal teams (education, marketing, operations) to align event objectives.

Prepare event materials, schedules, and attendee communications.

Oversee event budgets and ensure cost-effective event management.

Ensure events are executed safely, professionally, and in line with the Club’s image.

Collect feedback and evaluate event success to propose improvements.

Qualifications

Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and good proficiency in English.

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.

Proven experience in organizing and coordinating events (preferably educational, scientific, or youth events).

Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic event management tools.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings during events.
