Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Economic Analyst to join our Planning & Business Excellence team within the Marketing Directorate. This role is pivotal in driving analytical insights, strategic planning, and performance assessments across marketing functions. You will play a key part in shaping strategies for petroleum, petrochemical, and polymer markets while ensuring corporate governance and risk management standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support marketing plans and strategies for key products.
  • Conduct performance assessments of marketing operations, logistics, and related functions.
  • Interface with producing entities on growth initiatives, market trends, and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and risk mitigation measures, including audits.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate on long‑term strategic investment initiatives with corporate teams.
  • Drive improvement initiatives across marketing and corporate functions.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 10 years in technical or commercial roles within oil & gas, petroleum refining, or petrochemicals.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, growth drivers, and industry challenges.
  • Proven expertise in economic analysis, financial assessments, and project investment evaluations.
  • Experience in corporate governance, risk management, auditing, and budget control.
  • Leadership experience managing small teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Educational Qualifications

    A degree in engineering (preferably Chemical engineering), or economics, or computational science.
