Role Overview
Role Overview The Projects Engineer – MEP will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across assigned projects. The role also includes supporting the estimation and bidding process for MEP works, ensuring competitive proposals that meet client requirements and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and supervise MEP activities from design through execution to project handover.
- Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Manage estimation and bidding for MEP works, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and preparation of technical / commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of MEP works and competitive pricing.
- Monitor site progress, prepare technical reports, and address any deviations from the project plan.
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Support procurement by reviewing technical submittals and material approvals.
- Liaise with civil, structural, and architectural teams for smooth project integration.
- Assist in cost control, risk management, and value engineering initiatives.
- Lead site inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide technical support during project execution and tender stages.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP project execution and estimation within the construction industry, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.Solid understanding of MEP design, installation, commissioning, and cost estimation.Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority requirements.Strong project management, planning, and coordination skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, and estimation software / tools.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.UPDA / MMUP certification (preferred but not mandatory).What We Offer
