What areyou going to do

• Skilled BIM software modelling expertwith solid understanding of the specific design disciplineleveraging on BIM enabled software (Civil 3D, Infraworks,Navisworks)
• Assist the BIM Specialist and BIM Coordinatorin the BIM delivery for Project(s) within the Department
• BIM Technician shall be considered an evolved CAD Drafting positionto suit within BIM technology environment
• Knowledge ofthe BIM process, regarding roads and infrastructurediscipline
• Assist BIM Manager and BIMCoordinators
• Collaborate with a team of professionals toproduce 3D information models and drawings with minimalsupervision
• Develop and deliver, in conjunction withsupply chain structured BIM models for programs / projects
• Ensure that the model is compliant with standards andgoals set in BIM Plan and BIM project workflow criteria
• Collaborate and coordinate design changes and model changes withother disciplines
• Conduct quality assurance of BIMsubmissions or designs to ensure compliance withstandards
• Develop and model discipline specific BIMobjects for projects in coordination with the Engineering ServicesDepartment
• Ability to export to different formats tocollaborate internally and externally
• Adhere to effectiveproject quality proceduresEssential skills and knowledge
• Diploma in Engineering / Academic degree (e.g., Mechanical, CivilEngineering, or Construction Management)
• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills in English
• Diploma or a degree from a recognized university in an appropriatefield such as Engineering, Architecture or Construction Managementor equivalent
• Holding Qatari Driving License
• Experience of working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region
• Minimum 7 years of experience and at least 4 years of experience inBIM projects and software (e.g., Civil3D, Navisworks,Infraworks)
• Experience of working in Roads and DrainageInfrastructure projects for a minimum of 4 years with a range ofexperience in terms of types of projects (local roads andexpressways) including all design stages (concept and detaileddesign) and employers (consultants and contractors)
• In-depth knowledge of BIM procedures with good understanding ofintegration from / to BIM with other applications with preferableconsiderable experience in roads / infrastructure projects
• Technically proficient in all aspects of BIM and experience inmulti-disciplinary coordination
• Ability to work todeadlines set by BIM Specialist and BIM Coordinator
• Eagerness to learn with the potential to develop into the role ofBIM Coordinator
• Knowledge on BIM processes e.g., 3Ddesign coordination and clash detection
• Knowledge inmodel-based drawing production
• Knowledge of 3D rendering,and visualization is an added advantage
• Knowledge ofCOBie specification and ability to export files frommodels
• Experience with the use of a Common DataEnvironment (CDE)
• Familiarity with international BIMStandards like ISO 19650 and related standards
• Familiarity with internationally recognized classification systems(e.g., Uniclass, MasterFormat)
