The Opportunity

The EY CCaSS team is seeking experienced professionals, with a background in Climate Change and Sustainability. Candidates should have exposure to areas such as energy management, green building, HSE management systems, sustainable value creation, sustainability digitization, business model innovation, sustainable supply chain, and reporting. EY is at the forefront of climate change and sustainability trends, engaging with clients across various levels to provide insights into these developments. The team is looking for dedicated candidates who can help develop a dynamic sustainability practice focused on making a significant impact for clients navigating this agenda.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple client engagements, sharing responsibilities, providing support, developing relationships, and maintaining communication with senior team members across various industries, including consumer products, Oil & Gas, financial services, public and infrastructure.
  • Perform audit procedures, create work products like audit analyses and engagement documentation, evaluate and test processes and controls.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in report preparation.

To qualify for the role

  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or environmental science; an advanced degree (MSc or MBA) is advantageous.
  • Strategic Advisory & Risk Analysis : Support clients to assess and address complex ESG and sustainability challenges, including regulatory developments, policy shifts, and business risks.
  • Program Development & Reporting : Lead the design and implementation of ESG / sustainability programs, including
  • Materiality assessments

  • Peer benchmarking
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Gap analyses
  • KPI / metric identification aligned with standards such as GRI
  • Preparation of internal and external reporting materials
  • Client Engagement & Thought Leadership : Support senior team members in managing client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives, and drafting thought leadership content.
  • Data Review & Insights : Analyze sustainability data, including benchmarking results, industry trends, and regulatory updates, to inform strategy and reporting.
  • Research & Knowledge Sharing : Conduct in‑depth research on ESG and sustainability topics, documenting and sharing insights to support team learning and client deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Knowledge of various sustainability / ESG standards and frameworks like GRI, TCFD, SASB, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
  • A passion for staying ahead of the curve in the field of data analytics and visualization.
  • Experience in consulting or working in a client‑facing role.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
