Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q) seeks a skilled and proactive Senior Digital Platforms Specialist to oversee the technical, visual, and content management of the institution’s digital presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing NU-Q’s websites, while collaborating across teams and digital platforms to support integrated content, social media, and visual storytelling initiatives. This role requires a balance of creative content development, technical proficiency and collaborative execution within a dynamic academic environment.

Digital Platform & Website Management

Focus : Content publishing, CMS maintenance, and performance optimization

• Upload, edit, and maintain digital platforms in coordination with internal stakeholders and content creators.
• Perform regular backups and manage CMS updates, plugins, and theme patches to ensure site integrity and security.
• Monitor site speed, SEO health, and cross-browser / device compatibility; implement performance enhancements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to ensure uptime, responsiveness, and accessibility.

Analytics, SEO & Accessibility

Focus : Data-driven insights, optimization, and compliance

Technical Infrastructure & Stakeholder Coordination

Focus : Collaboration, systems integration, and vendor management

Digital Content Creation & Storytelling

Focus : Writing, editorial strategy, and cross-platform storytelling

Visual Design & Multimedia Production

Focus : Graphic design, visual identity, and multimedia content creation

Team Collaboration

The position’s minimum starting salary is : $80,297. The offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
