Eager Titanium Welder : Mastering the Art of Titanium Welding

Overview

A titanium welder understands titanium's properties and uses the right welding equipment and processes to produce finished components. They may work in enclosed spaces or operate hand-powered machines and should be adept at titanium welding.

Responsibilities

• Weld titanium parts using appropriate processes (e.g., GTAW / TIG) and materials to ensure strong, leak-free joints.
• Inspect welds for visible defects, determine suitable filler materials, and recommend process adjustments as needed.
• Operate a range of tools and equipment, including plasma cutters, drills, grinders, and related machinery.
• Coordinate nondestructive testing and oversee the welding contractor’s work to meet project specifications.
• Apply knowledge of metallurgical properties of materials (e.g., magnesium, carbon steel, titanium, zirconium) to select suitable welding approaches.
• Stay current with welding technology and practices; adopt new methods and equipment as appropriate.
