Job descriptionResponsible for seamless execution of all project engineering activities within the Offsite Delivery Team Manage risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide fit-for-purpose solutions Develop engineering execution plans, sequencing, prioritisation, and resource allocation to meet project objectives Manage conflicting priorities and multiple stakeholder views Ensure sufficient high-quality resources to meet safety, quality, and schedule objectives Interface and coordinate multiple groups to efficiently resolve issues and implement opportunities Handle ad-hoc and short notice engineering support requests Lead multi-discipline activities with the Offsite Delivery Team and coordinate EPC execution of engineering, procurement, and construction to meet milestones and budget Support Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning to ensure alignment and timely execution Monitor execution using KPIs, detect deviations, enable early interventions, and report performance through weekly and monthly delivery reports Apply risk management techniques for multi-discipline decision-making and communicate technical issues to management Uphold project safety programmes and ensure safe execution of all activities, participating in safety walks and initiatives Lead change management processes, documenting and managing risks associated with design changes Evaluate and participate in equipment testing, site visits, contractor workshop assessments, and EPC performance monitoring Provide leadership to resolve multi-discipline issues and drive alignment between stakeholder groups Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering Minimum 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry with experience in detailed engineering management of major projects Preferably experience on LNG projects, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role Engineering leadership in multi-discipline teams, with knowledge of design safety aspects Risk assessment experience to support decision making Experience with LNG facilities and large process unit design Experience working with major EPC contractors in a Lump Sum environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead and communicate at all organisational levels Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds Field engineering experience is desirable Technical background as a discipline or project engineer Teamwork and facilitation skills Analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Risk management expertise

Location : Qatar Onshore
Contract Type : MFA, 36 months
Work Schedule : 10 hours / day, 6 days / week, 26 days / month
Estimated Start Date : ASAP
Estimated End Date : 31 December 2028
We are supporting a leading LNG company in Qatar in recruiting a Head of Project Engineering (Offsites) for the North Field South and North Field West Onplot projects. This role oversees engineering design and execution by EPC contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance while leading project coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to Project Division Manager – Offsites
- No direct reports
- Frequent contact with EPC Project Division Managers, EPC Engineering Manager, other Project Team Heads (Quality, Construction, Systems Completion, Procurement, SHE, Interface), and discipline Heads
- Periodic interaction with other LNG projects and departments, contractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders
