Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
20 years in civil infrastructure management for large-scale projects, particularly marine, utility, or entertainment developments, with at least 5 years in the GCC region.
Master's preferred.
Demonstrated experience in design management and construction supervision of major infrastructure works, utilities, roads, and complex structural components.
Prior involvement in mega / multi-component projects (stadiums, arenas, high-profile urban developments, or transport-related projects) is highly desirable.
Proven background in working within PMCM consultancy environments, interfacing between client, consultants, and contractors.
Membership / Chartership with a recognised professional body (e.g., PE, CEng, PMI, MICE) preferred.
Skills & Expertise
Expertise in civil works management, including roads, utilities, drainage systems, and large-scale marine infrastructure.
Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Familiarity with both international and local infrastructure standards in Qatar.
Strong command of civil engineering design, standards, and construction methodologies with emphasis on complex infrastructure integration.
Proven ability to review, validate, and manage multidisciplinary designs, ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and project requirements.
Expertise in site execution oversight, quality assurance / quality control, and ensuring contractor performance against scope, schedule, and budget.
Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal standards, and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).
Ability to coordinate with structural, architectural, MEP, and specialist disciplines to resolve technical challenges.
Skilled in contract administration support, preparation of technical reports, and review of contractor submittals.
Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Aconex, etc.) and relevant design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, etc.).
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to liaise effectively between client, consultants, and contractors.
Adaptability to the unique requirements of the 974 Project, including high-profile client interface, accelerated schedules, and integrated design-construction-implementation oversight.
