Job Description
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and safe environment for infants (newborn to 1 year old). The role focuses on ensuring the physical, emotional, and developmental well-being of each child under care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the daily care, supervision, and feeding of infants.
Support in creating a warm, secure, and hygienic environment conducive to early development.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
Monitor infants’ health, comfort, and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to the Lead Teacher.
Follow established routines for nap times, feeding, diaper changes, and developmental play.
Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory and motor activities.
Support in maintaining accurate attendance and activity records.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with parents and staff.
Ensure adherence to all safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Requirements
Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
Minimum 1–2 years of experience caring for infants (0–1 year).
Knowledge of child development principles and infant care practices.
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
CPR and First Aid certification (advantage).
