Job Summary :
We are looking for a highly qualified Sales Manager with strong technical expertise in the automation sector , specifically within the energy industry . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the latest advancements in PLCs, control systems, DCS interfaces, HMIs, SCADA , and related technologies. A solid background in maintenance practices associated with these systems is also essential.
To succeed in this role, the candidate must demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of the sales process and its nuanced dynamics. Equally important is a well-rounded set of interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their specific needs, and foster strong, long-term relationships. This role plays a pivotal part in driving our sales success and expanding our market presence.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Proactively seek new clients who could benefit from the company’s services, maximizing customer potential.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across key clients and industry sectors.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to effectively manage clients, increase revenue, and optimize margins in line with organizational objectives.
- Analyze emerging trends and markets, highlighting key areas for targeted sales efforts to drive geographical growth.
- Oversee and report on sales metrics such as sales funnel, pipeline, bookings, and client engagement, providing regular updates on achievements and progress.
- Ensure all opportunities are properly identified, qualified, quoted, and followed through to completion.
- Utilize technical expertise to understand client needs, offering tailored techno-commercial solutions in written proposals.
- Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients.
- Actively engage in marketing initiatives within the assigned territory / clients, staying informed about market trends within the business vertical.
- Drive business development activities including new opportunity generation, account expansion, and market growth as directed by management.
- Conduct comprehensive market and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
- Provide accurate forecasts for annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop marketing collateral.
- Build brand awareness within the target territory / clients.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering field (Electrical / Instrumentation).A degree in Business Administration is a plus.Skills & Competencies
Demonstrated success in direct, individual sales with verifiable achievements and references showcasing sales performance.In-depth technical knowledge of the automation sector, with a strong ability to deliver tailored client solutions.Extensive experience in selling PLC systems, SCADA / HMI, DCS interfaces, and control systems.Solid background in the Energy Industry is essential.Highly resilient and persistent, capable of thriving in challenging sales environments.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, consulting, and presentation abilities.Proven expertise in delivering impactful presentations and product demonstrations, with the ability to sell competitive automation solutions.Exceptional attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills.Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
