Responsibilities
The production performance of the assigned area
The safety of all occupants (permanent and non-permanent) in the assigned area
Acting as the Area Authority within the assigned area (see details below)
Serving as the On-Scene Commander in case of an Emergency Response
Actively participating as a permanent member of the offshore platform team
Role and Activities
Crew Management :
Lead a team of up to 7 personnel, including technicians and crane operators, to manage day-to-day operations
Motivate and guide staff to drive high performance and accountability
Promote a culture of innovation in process safety and production optimization
Occasionally lead, assist, and support non-permanent personnel (e.g. well service, inspection teams, campaign crews)
Operation Planning and Execution :
Plan all activities within the assigned area using appropriate systems (SAP, tools, materials, PTW, etc.)
Ensure safe and efficient execution of planned work and proper close-out of activities
Permit to Work Management :
Prepare Permit to Work (PTW) packages to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and prevent conflicts during simultaneous operations
Serve as the Permit Controller, ensuring all work complies with PTW procedures and company standards
Monitoring and Optimization :
Monitor and control production, injection, and utility systems to optimize performance
Report on production and safety performance and propose improvements to daily operations
Safety and Risk Management :
Develop and review risk assessments, ensuring hazards are properly mitigated and risks are minimized
Promote a strong incident-free safety culture in alignment with health and safety policies
Lead the Offshore Satellite Emergency Response Team, maintaining site safety at all times
Conduct internal audits of risk management practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Authority Role
Ensure all process isolation schemes meet minimum standards and are correctly marked
Oversee the preparation of method statements for complex isolations
Authorize the application, removal, and monitoring of isolations
Maintain records and perform audits on long-term isolations
Act as :
Temporary Equipment Authority
Operating and Issuing Authority for permits
Electrical Authority on site (pre-assessed and approved)
Requirements
Required Experience and Certifications
Education :
Bachelor of Science in any Engineering discipline or equivalent
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years' experience in oil and gas production operations, including supervisory responsibilities
Strong background in hydrocarbon process safety; working knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems is required
Certifications : T-BOSIET / H2S
Fitness to Work Certificate
Basic and Advanced Firefighting
Management of Major Emergencies
Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader
Advanced First Aid
