About the Client : Our client is one of the leading engineering, construction, technical, and management services firms. A leader in various diversified markets with a focus on transportation, environmental / infrastructure, and defense / security.

Responsibilities :

Represent the interests of the client during construction execution. Negotiate changes to the scope of work. Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the project. Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients' interests. Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plan, and other documents required from the construction contractor. Monitor the execution of the technical, financial, and administrative functions of the construction contract. Assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provide input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. Identify the needs for specialist resources to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. Work with the client, the contractor, project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to coordinate budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Monitor action plans to rectify potential construction cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advise the client and other team members of any such changes. Oversee coordination with the Contracts Management and Project Controls Groups and any client sub-contractors to maintain current and timely change orders. Minimum Requirements : A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 18+ years of experience working on large-scale development projects. Professional registration and CEng / PEng. A broad general technical and construction background working on large-scale Utilities projects. Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering. A thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
