Overview
A skilled Mechanical Engineer is required to manage and maintain mechanical systems within a Facilities Management (FM) setting. The role involves overseeing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting FM projects, and driving operational efficiency.
Your role
Maintenance & Operations
- Oversee and manage mechanical systems within facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Ensure proper execution of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Project Management
Support FM projects by providing technical expertise in mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning.Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and compliance with Qatar regulations.Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to Qatar Civil Defense and international standards for mechanical systems.Implement health and safety protocols during maintenance and project execution.Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset performance, and compliance reports.Prepare technical reports and recommendations for system improvements.About you
BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.Preferred : Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent.Minimum 3 years in the same position within Facilities Management.Overall 10+ years of experience in civil engineering roles, preferably in FM.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire safety systems.Skills
Proficiency in CAFM systems, MS Office, and AutoCAD.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Familiarity with SFG20 standards, ISO FM standards, and Qatar regulatory requirements.Experience in energy efficiency projects and sustainability initiatives.Knowledge of MEP coordination and asset lifecycle management.Rewards & benefits
