Job description
  • Review project documents of ICT and Telecoms, including security systems and audio-visual systems, covering installation, testing, commissioning, and method statements / procedures as per project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify the installation of ICT and Telecoms-related services, ensuring they meet operational requirements and support testing, commissioning, and digitalization.
  • Assist in developing and updating operating procedures for hardware, networks, and operating systems.
  • Perform non-routine operations controlling data processing, peripherals, and communications and networking equipment.
  • Carry out routine monitoring, logging, and reporting tasks under supervision. Report problems and unforeseen events to the Lead. Complete associated administrative procedures.
  • Use management systems software and analysis tools to collect statistics and generate reports as required.
  • Perform routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of ICT / Telecommunication system hardware / software and operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support during maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and configurations.
  • Respond to instructions or follow plans to install or remove ICT / Telecommunication hardware / software, ensuring correct operation.
  • Gather information to resolve incidents and allocate them appropriately following established procedures.

    Job Purpose

    Assist ICT functions by providing detailed technical expertise throughout project phases and maintaining the ICT / Telecoms support environment, resolving operational issues.

    Qualifications

    • High Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics, Information Systems, or relevant discipline.
    • Knowledge and / or Experience

    • At least 5 years of Telecoms experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
    • Proficient in ICT core skills, applications, tools, and techniques.
    • Familiar with relevant national and international standards.
    • Experience in project management and support environments.
    • Technical and Business Skills

    • Proficient in written and spoken English.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical problem-solving abilities.
    • Technical expertise with broad IT knowledge.
    • Adherence to risk, security, and continuity principles.
