Programme Lead - Senior Planning Engineer
Senior Planning Engineer with a minimum of 20 years of overall postgraduate experience in project controls for large multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes, including deep tunnel, pumping stations, and marine projects.
Qualifications
- At least 12 years working as part of a Programme Management Consultants (PMC) organization or equivalent delivering large multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes.
- Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects.
- Current and detailed knowledge of scheduling, cost, collaboration and other IT applications.
- Team‑oriented and flexible to accommodate a fluid design process on a restricted schedule.
- Strong capabilities in project controls, contracts administration and other technical services at supervisory and management levels.
- In‑depth knowledge of project controls procedures.
- A rounded profile with experience in planning, analysis, managing processes and commercial considerations.
- Effective at building good working relationships within complex structures, both internally and with various project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead in preparation and management of construction and procurement schedules.Review contract documents, suggest changes for planning, cost and programming aspects and add new clauses if necessary; review schedule trends to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action to management.Carry out studies into scheduling, resource and material flow as needed; develop draft monitoring and reporting systems for management and engineering review.Manage all programme control aspects for the consultant, including monthly reports to the engineer.Monitor and report on design performance to the design programme and cost teams; liaise with the engineer to incorporate design projects and design programmes into the project and programme master programmes.Manage the resolution of variance reports relating to scheduling and cost reporting.Provide guidance and advice to the senior management team on planning issues; assist in the consultant selection process for commercial and technical evaluation.Assist in establishing and delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client and project.Prepare risk assessment and mitigation plans.Seniority Level
