Overview
Job Description Purpose Responsible for safely maximizing the production potential of each well drilled through efficient planning, high-quality operational support, and the development of a highly skilled and motivated team. Key Accountabilities
Coordinate geological operations planning and safe execution of up to 35–40 new wells and re-drills annually across multiple rigs. Co-own the Statement of Requirements (SOR) process with the Drilling and Wells team. Oversee team coordination to ensure smooth integration of operational follow-up and well planning activities. Ensure high quality of all geological operations deliverables. Maintain long-term planning visibility for upcoming wells and reservoir data needs. Support Basis of Design (BOD) reviews to ensure optimal well design. Act as interim New Well Delivery Manager during periods of absence. Optimize staffing of wellsite geologists (WSG) and operations geologists based on rig activity. Maintain regular contact with service providers (mudlogging, coring, LWD, wireline logging). Track pre- and post-well data for continuous performance evaluation. Manage budgets related to data acquisition activities. Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
Participate actively in safety initiatives and maintain valid certifications (e.g., BOSIET). Promote safety practices within operations geology functions. 2. Well Planning
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in a subsurface / geosciences organization Bachelor's degree (required) in Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred Strong understanding of subsurface operations, well planning, and data acquisition Proven leadership and project management skills Cross-functional knowledge of geosciences and drilling disciplines Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at high levels
