Job descriptionA medical degree in psychiatry from a recognized university. Approved specialty qualification in psychiatry from a recognized institution. Previous experience working as a psychiatrist in a clinical setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families and other medical professionals. Excellent organizational skills to manage patient records and daily tasks. Good knowledge of mental health legislation in Qatar and the ability to apply it effectively. Must be fluent in both English and Arabic. Generous salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience. Paid vacation time. Health insurance coverage. Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, treatments and interventions for patients with mental health conditions.
- Evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly and provide follow-up care as needed.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses and social workers to coordinate effective treatments for patients.
- Make referrals to appropriate mental health services or other specialists when necessary.
- Monitor patient medication use to ensure safety and effectiveness.
