The PCS7 Engineer with ELICS expertise is responsible for design, implementation, and commissioning of PCS7 based Control Systems, SIMATIC S7 Safety Systems, and ELICS Systems for a variety of industrial control system applications.

Responsibilities

PCS7, WinCC and STEP 7 programming of control systems

Fire & Gas systems and Emergency Shutdown Systems design and programming

Involvement throughout whole software / systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation

Installation and configuration / testing work at customer sites

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Minimum experience 5+ years – with PCS7 preferred Oil & Gas Systems

Ability to develop PCS7 and PLC programs based on reading schematics and interpreting customer specifications

Ability to troubleshoot control loops and motor wiring

Network architecture design and Industrial instrumentation selection, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting

Specific experience with ELICS Systems required

Hands-on PCS7 based project experience (Siemens Power Control Library preferred)

Experience in Electrical / Automation Cabinet Hardware Engineering & Commissioning

EPDCS – Emergency Power Distribution Control Systems

PMS - Power Management Systems

GMS - Generator Management Systems

LSS / LSC Load Sharing, Load Shedding & Load Management Systems

Documentation (IO Lists, FDS, FAT procedure, SAT procedure, Logic Flowchart, Control Philosophy, O&M manuals)

Hands-on expertise in third party integration protocols such as Modbus (serial), Modbus (TCP), IEC-61850, OPC

Knowledge of functional block development and customization in PCS7

Conducting internal testing, FAT and SAT

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid!

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Siemens DCS and SCADA design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting

Hands on experience in PCS7 Safety Systems

Good client facing skills, must be able to work as part of combined client / contractor team

In depth knowledge of Water and Wastewater process, Petrochemical processes, and Oil & Gas processes

Willingness to travel and work away when required

Qatar driving license
