Overview
The Government Protocol Officer (Qatarization) will be responsible for managing high-level government relations, ensuring effective communication and engagement with ministries and public entities, and overseeing protocol arrangements for an executive leader. The role demands exceptional relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of government processes, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. The ideal candidate will act as the executive's primary liaison with government bodies, ensuring seamless interaction and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Government Relations :
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key government officials, ministries, and regulatory bodies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all governmental interactions and correspondence.
- Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislation affecting the organization.
- Proactively address regulatory or procedural challenges and facilitate timely approvals.
Protocol Management :
Plan and oversee all protocol arrangements for meetings, events, and official visits involving government officials or dignitaries.Ensure adherence to official protocols and cultural norms in interactions with government representatives.Organize and manage logistics for executive engagements with government stakeholdersMinistry Coordination :
Liaise with ministries to address inquiries, submit required documentation, and follow up on ongoing matters.Ensure timely compliance with all government reporting, documentation, and regulatory requirements.Represent the executive in official meetings and discussions with ministries and public authorities.Executive Support :
Provide expert advice to the executive on government-related matters and strategic initiatives.Prepare briefing materials, reports, and talking points for executive interactions with government entities.Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to align the organization's objectives with government policies.Stakeholder Engagement :
Facilitate partnerships and collaborations between the organization and government entities.Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, lobby groups, and policymakers to promote the organization's interests.Represent the organization in public forums, conferences, and networking events.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).8-10 years of experience in government relations, protocol management, or a similar role.Proven track record of working with government ministries and high-level officials.Strong knowledge of government processes, policies, and regulatory frameworks.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Arabic and English is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
