Rotating Equipment Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Perform installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of rotating equipment such as :

Pumps (centrifugal, submersible, reciprocating, gear, diaphragm, injection)

Compressors, turbines, blowers, and fans

Gearboxes, couplings, and mechanical seals

Conduct alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment tools.

Carry out vibration monitoring, lubrication, and condition monitoring of machinery.

Inspect equipment for wear, corrosion, leakage, and mechanical failures, taking corrective measures.

Maintain detailed maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts consumption logs.

Work closely with engineers and supervisors to implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Ensure safe execution of maintenance activities in compliance with HSE standards.

Assist in commissioning and performance testing of rotating equipment.

Support shutdown and turnaround activities, including overhauls and modifications.

Qualifications & Experience :

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade certification).

3–8 years of experience in maintenance of rotating equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power Plant environments.

Hands-on knowledge of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, turbines, and related systems
