Job Purpose
The SAP S / 4HANA Business Process Specialist will be the functional lead and focal point for business processes and data within their domain as part of a major SAP S / 4HANA transformation program. This role will support the definition and implementation of optimized business processes and systems aligned with industry best practices, enabling streamlined operations and improved decision-making.
Key Accountabilities
Act as the business process and functional focal point for your domain throughout the SAP S / 4HANA transformation.
Lead the collection and documentation of business requirements related to the transformation project.
Design future-state solutions in line with best practices, in collaboration with SAP S / 4HANA functional and technical SMEs.
Conduct process, functional, and technical reviews during all project phases.
Define business controls, authorizations, and reporting requirements.
Identify integration points and dependencies with other business units and domains.
Coordinate closely with the SAP S / 4HANA project team throughout the project lifecycle.
Validate system functionality and lead / support various levels of testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Review and approve deliverables and end-user training documentation.
Conduct or support training sessions for end-users.
Participate in data migration planning, definition of requirements, and data validation activities.
Provide support for process adoption and continuous improvement following go-live.
Capabilities & Skills
Strong understanding of full-cycle upstream Oil & Gas business processes.

Main Activities
1. Stakeholder Management
Serve as the main liaison between business units and the SAP S / 4HANA project team.
Maintain transparent communication on project timelines, goals, and progress.
2. Requirements Gathering & Solution Design
Lead requirement-gathering sessions and facilitate workshops for “To-Be” process design.
Translate business needs into documented requirements and influence design choices.
Represent the domain in the project and advocate for best practices and process standardization.
Coordinate with other impacted entities to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Define and document holistic process flows and design with consideration for horizontal / vertical integration.
Propose innovative process improvements and optimization through S / 4HANA capabilities.
3. Process Management
Provide timely documentation and input into workshops and project planning sessions.
Identify and address process gaps and areas for improvement.
Ensure the solution is aligned with strategic business objectives.
Work collaboratively with other domain specialists for integrated solutions.
Support issue resolution and participate in proof-of-concept activities.
Review and endorse business process and data-related documentation.
4. Change Management
Support the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S / 4HANA.
Drive and promote process re-engineering and adoption of best practices.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
5. Training
Identify key end-users to participate in training.
Coordinate with the training team for development and delivery of training programs.
Ensure end-users are prepared for system transition and use.
6. Testing & Validation
Support the creation and execution of test cases and test scenarios.
Lead UAT and coordinate feedback and issue resolution.
Provide and prepare test data aligned with business needs.
Ensure solution quality through all testing phases.
7. Continuous Improvement
Gather post-go-live feedback to identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with the project team to implement improvements.
Promote long-term continuous improvement strategies and value realization.
8. Data Migration
Define data extraction, cleansing, quality control, and validation requirements.
Collaborate on data standardization and integration planning.
Review and approve data migration and conversion documentation.
