Job Overview
The Claims Payment Processor & Reconciliation Officer’s main duties are to manage financial transactions between medical providers, insurance companies, and internal finance teams to ensure timely and accurate claims payments, resolve discrepancies, report processed claims to payers, prepare EFTs for claims, update accounting software, and send statements of accounts to clients. The role also includes receivables calculation and collection from providers.
What You Do
- Generate outstanding reports from all payers and send them monthly
- Prepare payments for providers within the TAT
- Monitor the claims aging payments flow from all payers and follow up as needed
- Ensure financial transactions are booked in a timely manner and compliant with proper supporting backup
- Ensure control procedures are followed
- Ensure all accounting deadlines are met
- Provide professional correspondence internally and externally to insurance companies and clients
- Resolve discrepancies
- Monitor transactions for accuracy, completeness, and policy conformity
- Keep track of records and provide correct information when required
- Calculate and collect receivables from providers
- Organize all data and files for easy access
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Account or equivalent preferred1+ years of relevant experience, with experience in a TPA, hospitals or medical centers an added advantageHigh sense of responsibilityTeam playerPhysically fit to carry out dutiesLegally permitted to work in the country of operationsFluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skillsAdditional Information
