Responsibilities

Participate in the technical support of facility instrument electronic, mechanical, and optical systems, including fabrication, installation, optical alignment, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Perform and oversee troubleshooting and maintenance to keep observing instruments operating at peak efficiency daily. Implement modifications to enhance performance or efficiency of observatory instruments. Fabricate and modify electronic / electrical assemblies based on schematic drawings and engineering documentation. Conduct shop maintenance, including repair, calibration, procurement, and documentation, ensuring availability of parts, supplies, and manuals. Job Category

Degree in Electronics or Engineering 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering fields Proficiency in MS Office and industry-standard practices Skills
