Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating)

Responsibilities

• Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
• Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.
• Uses local / global standards to support technical excellence.
• Supports document checking and design verification tasks for compliance to company and project specifications.
• Technical supervision of project designated mechanical designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duty.
• Preparation of specifications, data sheets and other information covering rotating equipment and system packages.
• Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval.
• Technical writing activities, in particular, production of technical reports and operating manuals.
• Manage studies and mechanical-rotating-oriented projects as assigned.
• Preparation of technical requisition, stipulation of inspection and testing requirement and documentation.
• Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
• Supports Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities and takes action where required.
• Assist Project Team in project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules.
• Prepare and participate in weekly mechanical discipline meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures.
• Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with the Lead Engineer.
• Management, technical execution and completion of engineering assigned tasks in the specific mechanical-rotating discipline area; provide rotating equipment engineering input to conceptual studies, front end engineering and detailed engineering design for petrochemical, refineries and oil & gas facilities including the associated utilities.
• Quality Assurance : Accountable for working within the provisions and guidelines of Quality Assurance systems.
• Safety : Accountable for personal safety, safe working practices. Working knowledge and follow OH & S procedures promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.
• HSE Capability :

Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.
