TRANSFORMER TECHNICIAN

1 Involving the Installation commissioning and Maintenance repair of distribution and power transformers 2 Knowledgeable in power transformer installation Maintenance activities 3 Familiar with vacuum and oil processing using Filtration machine 4 Knowledge in rectifying transformer oil leaks 5 Knowledge in Bushings installations and transformer testing 6 Understanding OLTC s and Oil changing procedures 7 Perform all tasks associated with onsite repair of power and distribution transformers i e cutting new gaskets Orings oil handling internal inspections lead cutting crimping and taping as needed 8 Functional testing of transformer mechanical protections control cabinets and knowledgeable in troubleshooting control circuits 9 Maintain safe operating condition of tools and equipment including conducting detailed inventories and inspections to determine maintenance and repairs 10 Coordinate work with other groups to ensure customer requirements are being met Recommend measures to improve field service operations and customer service 11 Safety knowledge in handling transformer oil and working at heights sharp edges etc 12 Must be work initiative and willing to accept assignment when needed 13 Knowledge about toolbox talk and safety measures
