Job Description
Responsibilities :
Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment including :
Switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS systems, and battery chargers
Motors, generators, lighting systems, and control panels
Offshore power distribution and instrumentation circuits
Inspect and test electrical systems to identify faults or irregularities.
Replace defective components such as contactors, relays, switches, fuses, and circuit breakers.
Ensure all repairs are carried out to meet offshore operational reliability and safety standards.
Maintain compliance with QatarEnergy / QP / NOC offshore safety rules .
Assist in preparing daily maintenance reports and handover notes.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and shift handovers.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience :
Diploma / ITI Certificate in Electrical or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience , including at least 3 years in offshore oil & gas or marine facilities.
Strong knowledge of HV / LV systems, generators, switchgear, motors, and control panels.
Familiar with hazardous area (Ex / ATEX) equipment and offshore electrical safety practices.
Knowledge of international standards (IEC, BS, NFPA, IEEE) preferred.
Valid BOSIET / HUET and H2S certificates required for offshore deployment.
Experience with QatarEnergy, NOC, or QAFCO offshore projects is an advantage.
